Early in the week the Lorenzo to Menan section of the South Fork fished well, but presented a challenge. There was a minimal insect presence throuout the day, but Golden Stones were seen sparsely with a nice PMD hatch coming off towards the evening. Even so, the fish were keen to eat a big bug, with many fish netted after smashing a Waterwalker. As the day progressed, the fish lost interest in stone and hopper patterns, but wern't afraid to chase a light-colored Circus Peanut streamer. Fish were hungry enough to keep things interesting and make shoulders ache from tossing streamers.
