Flows are great at 200 cfs. Primary hatches consist of midges and BWOS. Caddis are present to varying degrees as well. Dry fly opportunities have been spotty but are there if you are trying to find fish looking up. Nymphing as usual remains the most productive (juju baetis in blk or purple #18 or #20, split case pmd’s, olive and blk zebra midges) and streamers are always an option. Midge and BWO hatches should continue to increase in volume and become more consistent. PMDs should also start making more of an appearance as the weather heats up.
Have fun and stop by TRR Outfitters in Eagle or call (208) 939-6065 to stock up on some flies, purchase your Owyhee fishing license, or book a guided fishing trip.
