Bwo's and midges are the surface game. Make sure you have a good selection of emergers, cripples, and adult patterns. You can nymph hairsears, pheasant tails, caddis, and zebra midges. Typically size 16-22.
This river is one of my favorite rivers to throw streamer. I like double bunnies and clouser minnows. You will catch your best fish on streamers. I know you can take large fish on the owyhee river on dries, but you will catch even bigger ones with streamer.
