Hoppers against the bank are still working as well as other terrestrials. Fish Blue wing olives and Mahogany duns in the riffles. Streamers early and late and on overcast days will also be good. The next couple days are suppose to be cloudy so this would be a great time to get out.

Look for pods of rising fish taking mahogany duns and small caddis, or midges. An exciting way to fish these is to skate a size 14 renegade across and in front of the fish, sometimes you will see the wake coming before the fish. It's a good time. This cooler weather has brought on some good fishing. Streamers are working well. You can also use rubber legs, lightning bugs, and hoppers on top.

Flow: 8020 The flow has been stable for the past week or so and fishing is good. use rubber legs, and small foam hoppers (size 8 or 10). You can also use pink alberts, and blue wing olives if you find fish feeding on them in the riffles.

On the lower river twitching big foam patterns against the bank is working good with all the hoppers on the water. A very effective method which is not used very often is swinging flies. Cast across stream and swing the fly just underneath the water in front of the fish. Good flies for this are...

Flow: 8050 This is a good time to be on the river. Mutants stones are fishing well, use a foam flies or a mutant patterns tight to the bank and twitch them. Fish rubber legs tight to the bank as well. Riffles are still fishing well with pink alberts.

The river is fishing good and the browns are starting to move. Use streamers and rubber legs above and below Ashton Reservoir. Stop in we'll get you set up for a great day on the water.
